The
circular n° 1533 of
the
11/03/1992 (to
see
appendices) relative to
the
restructuring of the
secondary teaching
proposes a new
card
of the
specialties and
sections :
• The common trunk
The first year of
secondary education (1st A. S.) is considered henceforth like a common trunk
and is
divided in two
branches:
1 –
human sciences
2 - sciences and
technology (subdivided in two sections : drawing and technology, and natural
sciences)
• The specialties
At the end of the common trunk or (1st A. S.),
the counsel of admission and orientation meets to decide the orientation
of the pupils in
the second year of
the secondary
school (2nd A. S),
according to their results and their individual capacities, toward two types of
secondary education.
